Recently there was a task for another security company that ended up being staffed by members of the UK Security Alliance.
This was a two month task located in South Asia.
Working in the capacity of Security Advisors, they were in charge of the safety and security of four separate teams of up to 60 people each. with one person manning a central control. At a time when the country was at it’s peak temperature, these teams were constantly moving between cities, often getting little rest between the work they were doing and transits.
5 Security Advisors
66 Days
240 People
12 Cities
53 Flights
74 Events
No Incidents.
These are the types of people we are proud to say are members of the UK Security Alliance.

Since its launch at the end of 2010, the UK Security Alliance has been going from strength-to-strength. The UK Security Alliance was created by experienced, professional close protection officers who wanted to ensure that users of professional security services had a reliable and honest resource they could use.
Stephen Hopkins, founder of the UK Security Alliance comments “It’s great to see Simon Doull putting his name behind the UK Security Alliance. Recently we had four members of the UK Security Alliance working overseas on the same task for two months. This is just one of many jobs our members have been working on recently. It’s great to see that our unique format has started to be accepted and used by clients of security services. I look forward to introducing a new service that will hugely benefit clients and I look forward to working with Simon again soon.”
Simon Doull – television cricket commentator says “I would recommend using UK Security Alliance personnel to everyone who requires professional security services. I have been travelling to India for many years with my job in television and the need for professional security has become more and more relevant. My experience recently with the UK Security Alliance and their personnel was outstanding and it left me in no doubt that they will be my security choice from now on. I would recommend the UKSA for any commercial and personal security requirements.”
The UK Security Alliance is a not-for-profit group. Stephen Hopkins has over 11 years experience working in the professional security industry, in operational, management and consultant positions. The UK Security Alliance has a strict application process for potential members. This ensures clients of the UKSA receive the highest levels of service from proven and experienced professionals.

The main difference is the way the UK Security Alliance (UKSA) builds the membership database. Members can not buy their way in to the UKSA. They have to have worked in the Close Protection industry and be recommended by someone they have worked with. By designing our membership system in this way, means that people who have not got any experience in the security industry at all, can not use the UKSA to try and mis-represent their actual level of experience. This ensures that when you do see someone who displays the UKSA member logo, that they are members of a real professional group.
The other difference is that the UKSA has no interest in trying to be the voice of the security industry. Our only concern is that if you are a user of Close Protection services, you now have a network you can turn to where you can find career security professionals.
The UK Security Alliance is NOT a security company and does not charge any fees. We offer free security advice and can help connect you with experienced CP officers.

I am happy to announce that the UKSA has had very positive feedback from people in the security industry and people who use security services.
It’s great to see other professional security officers get behind the UK Security Alliance even though they are not members. We are sure that with the unique way we build our membership, they will become members in the near future.
Speaking to a public relations company recently, it was no surprise to hear that they had no idea if they used close protection officers, they could end up getting people with no working security experience. It is common to think that by using a security company you will automatically get experienced security officers, but with so many companies all bidding for the same jobs, it has been known for security companies to pay their staff as little as £8 per hour in order for them to turn a profit. The people they then put on that job are people who need experience working in the close protection industry.
When you use professional security services you need to check out the security company you use. Make sure they really do have experience in the industry. Ask for proof that they have worked the type of task you need done. Just because someone has worked in CID for 15 years only means they have been solving crimes during that time…not looking after peoples personal security.
It’s easy to think that ex-police or ex-military personnel will automatically be the best for your security, but you have to take into account what they were doing in their previous roles before they started in the private security sector, and what have they currently been working on since they left?
The UKSA is not a security company, but instead works as an intermediary connecting people with highly experienced security professionals. This is a free service where you can either connect directly with UKSA members or can choose to have one of the UKSA company members manage your security project for you. Either way you can be assured you are getting the very best security officers.

There are now possibly thousands of small security companies, all promoting that they cover any type of security service, all saying the same message that their staff hold an SIA licence or are all ex-military. When you need security services it can be a confusing market. This is where the UKSA comes in.
We are not another security company and we do not charge our security officers for membership to the UKSA. This sets us apart from all the other ‘Professional Security Associations’ out there, who will let anyone join for a fee. UKSA members stake their reputations on recommending new people who they have worked with who they deem as professional and experienced in the security industry. Even then, they still have to be approved. This means quality over quantity. You will never find inexperienced security officers as members of the UKSA.
Highly experienced members from both civilian and military backgrounds. Whatever their background, UKSA members are career security officers. Most of our members were working in professional security before the SIA was even created.
Need security officers with specific skills? UKSA members have a wide range of skills. If you need security officers with a certain skill then please let us know.
Talk to the UKSA first. You will never be under any obligation to use our members. We offer you professional advice from people who understand security. We are experienced security professionals who have managed tasks pertaining to public events, music events, corporate and entertainment close protection, asset protection, facility security, security training and security management.
We are not just limited to the UK. UKSA members have worked in a variety of different countries all over the world. UKSA members also include security professionals we have worked with abroad that we can say are the best people in their field.
Use our members direct or choose a fully managed service. If you have a security job you would like to put to our members, we are happy to do so (subject to review of task) at no cost to either you or our members. This means that our members will contact you direct to express their interest. It will then be up to you to decide who is suitable for your job. Alternatively you can use one of the UKSA Company Members who will offer you a fully managed service. You will still get the highly experienced security officers you need from the UKSA, only you will have just one point of contact from your chosen company and everything will be arranged on your behalf and managed until the end of the job.
The UKSA has an excellent reputation. After all, Jerry Springer doesn’t just put his name to any company or group. Every time someone uses members of the UKSA for their security our reputation is at stake. This is why only the best security professionals are members of the UK Security Alliance.
If you would like to talk to us, please use the UK Security Alliance Contact Page.
